Fun Stuff

Trivia Elaborate, interactive marketing campaigns were launched in the months leading up to the release of this film. One of these was an event at the 2007 San Diego Comic-con called "Why So Serious", which involved fans following clues hidden around the city. The legions of Joker-painted fans ended up congregating in the street across from the convention center, where one of their numbers was welcomed into a black Escalade (with Gotham license plates) that had just pulled up. After a moment the fan started screaming and the SUV sped away. Later that day, a "Gotham City newspaper" was circulated reporting that a man believed to be the Joker was found beaten to death. Included were "crime scene photos" of the fan who had gotten into the Escalade, and a mention that he was found with a playing card in his hand, on which was scribbled "See you in December."
Goofs Revealing mistakes: As Gordon walks into the interrogation cell to question The Joker, after he shuts the supposedly heavy iron door, it can be seen swinging open again in the reflection of the mirror on the right, revealing that not only did it not latch, but that it is obviously not as heavy-duty as it looks.
Quotes He thinks he can sit out and still take a slice? I know why they call him the "Joker."Doc: Six shares, don't forget the guy who planned the job. And two guys on the roof. Everybody gets a share. Five shares is plenty.

Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.

With just one year having passed after taking outRa's Al Ghul's plan to have Gotham eliminated and the mysteriousdisappearance of Dr. Jonathan Crane AKA the Scarecrow, and after thecity was nearly plundered with his toxins, Bruce Wayne and hisvigilante alter-ego the Batman, continue the seemingly endless effortto bring order to Gotham, with the help of Lt. James Gordon and newlyappointed District Attorney Harvey Dent. But a new threat has nowemerged into the streets. The Dark Knight faces a rising psychopathiccriminal called The Joker, whose eerie grin, laughter, and inhumanmorality makes him as dangerous than what he has yet to unleash. Itbecomes an agenda to Batman to stop the mysterious Joker at all costs, knowing that both of them are in an opposite line. One has no method atall and seeks to see the world plunge into the fire he has yet tolight. One represents the symbol of hope and uses his own shadow tobring the peace and order he has yet to accomplish doing.

Setwithin a year after the events of Batman Begins, Batman, LieutenantJames Gordon, and new district attorney Harvey Dent successfully beginto round up the criminals that plague Gotham City until a mysteriousand sadistic criminal mastermind known only as the Joker appears inGotham, creating a new wave of chaos. Batman's struggle against theJoker becomes deeply personal, forcing him to "confront everything hebelieves" and improve his technology to stop him. A love triangledevelops between Bruce Wayne, Dent and Rachel Dawes.
