Warrick is released from custody and joins his CSI friends formerriment at a local watering hole. After saying his goodnights to hisfriends and picking up their bar tab, Warrick returns alone to his carparked in a dark alleyway where Undersheriff McKeenapproaches him and engages him in conversation. Warrick assures theUndersheriff that he and the team will not rest until they find thehigher-ranking mole. The Undersheriff catches Warrick with his guarddown, shooting Warrick in the neck and chest. The Undersheriff cleansthe gun and tosses it into Warrick's car, leaving Warrick for dead.
